Hand crafted Art Glass, Metal, Beaded Jewelry & Accessories
Fire in the Glass jewelry is all individually hand crafted by Georgia residents, Ghent & Tracy Wilson. Combining various design elements, utilizing art glass, fine silver, copper and mixed media, they make jewelry for both ladies and gentlemen. The feature glass is kiln fired in layers and beads are glass, shell, wood, porcelain, metal and hand formed polymer clay. Materials not made in the studio are sourced from bead makers around the world including South African lost wax brass, Tibetan coin and shell, Peruvian antique coin silver, Chinese enamel and many more. No two works are alike.
Ghent’s fascination with glass began as a teenager at Oak Mountain Science Club in the 1960s. He primarily worked with tubular glass and torch, making figurines and neon signs. His appreciation for metals began as a child in his father’s Carrollton foundry. Now his focus is in glass and metal work designs for jewelry & accessories.
Tracy began her love of jewelry in art classes while in Nashville in the 1970s where she worked in silversmithing and cloisonné. Her primary focus is creating artistic designs by combining new and vintage materials representing an eclectic style: bohemian, elegant or imaginative.
